A night of Hot Apple Pie

My friend Danielle won tickets to the Hot Apple Pie concert on Friday night. She invited me to go, cuz she loves me....lol. Anyways, it was a small affair that 96.5 The Star put on. The opening act for Hot Apple Pie was Jack Ingram. He was dang good live. I enjoyed Jack Ingram alot. After he was done with his set, he signed autographs. So, I got one...WOOHOO. Maybe it will be worth something some day. Hot Apple Pie came out shortly after that and just ROCKED the house. They were freakin awesome. For those of you not familiar with them they sing the very popular "Hillbillies love it in the hay". So anyways, we had a great time. Took a couple of pics. I am gonna try to post them. I don't know how well they will turn out. Hope everyone had a great weekend! This is Jack Ingram

This pics of Hot Apple Pie did not come out good at all, so I am not going to bother.

Aloha

Saturday we went to a luau at the Majors house. we had a really good time. There was good food, and good drinks. I had my fair share of pina coladas....YUMMYY!!!! They had a ton of beer, so after the pina coladas got to sweet, I headed off to the cooler for a cool refreshing Corona with lime of course. I got to know a couple more of the military wives. That was nice. I hope to be able to get together with some of them and hang out. The major and his wife made everyone feel welcome, and made sure everyone was having a great time. I of course have been in a lil bit of funk lately, and I was honestly thinking about not going, but Adam said that I should go, cuz I would have a great time. He was right, it was really a blast!!!

After we left the party a couple of us went to this bar called the Back Porch. We had some appetizers, and couple more beers. Then we decided to call it a night. We got home about 1:30a. We had so much, all of us are looking forward to more parties like this.

Here a couple of pics of the night. Enjoy!

Crazy Cat

This is my crazy cat Emily. She is really psycho. Just ask Jen or my hubby. Jennie has my cats brother and sister. They are 2 totally different cats. Well, ok they say pets mimic their owners. She was my dad's cat and then he gave her to me. My dad and I are a lil crazy...so maybe thats where she gets it. It might also be because I played with her like she was a rottweiler when she was a kitten. So, anyways this is her attacking the screensaver on my laptop. Sorry it is not a very good picture, I took it with my cell phone.

My hubby has finally posted to his blog for the first time in months. Go over and comment.

It's been awhile

I haven't had much to talk a bout, that's why it has been awhile since my last post. Life here in Ohio is the same. We are hoping to get orders to go back to the west coast. A couple of our friends around here have orders already. 1 couple is going out to the west coast. Yes I am jealous, even though there aren't going where me and hubby want to go, but close enough. Another friend of mine is going back to North Carolina, where she is from. You know that she has to be excited. neither one of them have to check into the new places till later on in the year. Everyday that Adam goes to work, I am hoping he will have orders to go back. We both have a bad feeling we are going to end up in Okinawa, which is not somewhere I feel like going. You never know where you are going to end up when the Marine Corps is in charge. I guess we will just have to see what the plan is.

On another note, I have a job interview tomorrow. It is for a doc clinic. I am so hoping this is the job for me. I am tired of sitting at home all the time. It is closer to home then most of the places that I have interviewd with. Who would've thunk it that it is so hard to get a nursing job out here. So, keep your fingers crossed, and hope I get this job!

Our New Years resolution is not doing so well. I think we made it 1 full day of not smoking, and then we caved. We keep telling ourselves that we need to quit, but have we? NOT. It is harder then ya think. We will try again. Smokes are to damn expensive. So we will quit one of these dyas, hopefully soon.

Hope everyone has had a great start to the New Year!!

A new car for the New Year

My hubby decided that it was time for a new car. I am not kidding you, we get a new car like every 18 months. My hubby is a car junkie. He traded in his Jeep wrangler for an Impala. The gas mileage is much better. With the Jeep he was only getting like 15 miles to the gallon. With the Impala he gets about 25-30mpg. With gas prices nowadays, who wouldn't want that.

Happy New Year...2006!!!

Happy New Year everyone. We had a good time last night. We went to our friends, friends house, if that makes any sense....lol. We kinda invited ourselves....hehehe. We went over to our neighbors, to see what they were doing, and they invited us to go with them to their friends. We had a good time. People were nice. Had a couple of beers. Hubby played Texas hold em all night. I don't think he won anything though....lol.

Me and hubby made a New Years resolution to quit smoking. We try to do this every once in awhile. I think this time we are going to make it. This habit is to damn expensive. Not only that it is BAD for you. Come on now, I am nurse you would think I would know better. Us nurse are the worse...lol. So keep your fingers crossed and the encouraging thoughts flowing for us. I am bound and determined to do it this time.

Hope everone had a fun New Year's. HAPPY 2006!!!!!
