Everything is OK

Well, I had my first ultrasound yesterday. Everything is great. There is only 1 baby there. I was so relieved. I bet everybody in the hospital could hear how relieved I was....lol. I was so excited. I saw the heartbeat. Not able to hear it yet, but it is definitely there. It was so amazing. Now I really believe that I am preggers. I mean of course I had positive preggers test, but it is too soon for me to be showing. So now I really know that I am pregnant. WOOHOO! I was on cloud 9 yesterday. Me and hubby went shopping yesterday, and I had fun looking at all the baby stuff. I can't wait to start buying things. We are also trying to pick out names. I have a feeling this baby is going to be a boy. I read something on the internet, that if the heartbeat is below 140, then it is a boy, and above 140 it is a girl. The heartbeat was 129. I know that this prolly just an old wives tale, but my feeling even before I read that, I felt like it was gonna be a boy. So we will have to see. I was talking to my mom last night and she was telling me according to the old wives tales, I should've been a boy, and my brother a girl. So I guess you can't go on what ya read huh. So anyways, I very happy that everything is GOOD. I made my first appt with the OB, for later this week. I saw the fertility specialist yesterday. I am so excited. The doc yesterday said I was due Oct 14th. My friend said that I should wait till Oct 17th, that's when her little boy was born. That would be cute huh.....lol. Well that's all for now. Hope everyone had a great weekend, and will have a good week!!!!!! =)

Good weekend

We had a good time this weekend. On Saturday night, we had some friends come over. I made a yummy dish, my dad likes to call southwest pasta. It is like fettucine alfredo, with a kick. You make it with chipotle peppers, and you also put a spicy rub on the chicken. Man, it was a hit. I think this one of the best ones I have ever made. Kasi brought brownies for desert. After we had desert, we played Scene It. That was fun. Yesterday we went down to Kentucky to Kasi's and Scott's to watch NASCAR. I am not a big fan of it, but my hubby and Scott are. Kasi and I got bored so we went to the mall. I was really good and didn't buy a whole lot of stuff. I went into Bath and Body Works (big mistake). I did pretty good though. They of course were having a sale. They are discontinuing one of my favorite scents, so I had to stock up. After the race was over we had dinner. It was yummy. We stayed for a lil bit to watch a movie, then we left. It is a long drive from their house to ours. We still had fun.

So, I guess I am about 6 weeks pregnant. I have been doing some reading, and the stuff I have bee reading says my baby is about the size of Lentil Bean. How funny is that? Since I was on fertility meds, my hubby kids about there being 2 "lentil beans". I hope he doesn't jinx me....lol. Twins already run in my family. My grandmother is fraternal twin. If I had fraternal twins, 1 boy and 1 girl, then that would be ok. I wouldn't have to go through the fertility stuff again. We will have to see how everything goes. I guess next Monday, I will know for sure. I will be having my first ultrasound. I am excited.

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Happy Anniversary to us

9 years ago yesterday, Adam and I got married. We didn't do much. We just spent time together. His boss let him have the day off. We went to this Mexican restaurant Abuelos. It is so yummy. I am so happy that we actually got to spend time together. The last 3 anniversaries we haven't been able to be together much. Last year my hubby had just gotten to Africa. They year before we were driving from Cali to Ohio. We had Wendy's for dinner that night. Real romantic.....eh? The year before that he was in Iraq. So, even though we didn't do anything exciting, at least we were together. Not to mention that fact that we are actually going to have a baby. We are on cloud 9.

I hate the job that I just started. I don't know how long I will stay there. I have already started looking for a new job. How said is that. Hope everyone Had a Happy Valentines Day!

In addition...

Yesterday, I was also told that I finally got a job! I can't believe it. Someone must be looking out for me. I guess I will just have to see how long I can work. It is in a nursing home. I will be working long hours. I know the baby is more important then working, but I will take it easy. I still haven't told my new boss that I am preggers. I was afraid that I wouldn't get the job. Oh well. I guess she will find out sooner or later. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week like me. Bye bye for now.

Hey Guess What??

After yrs and yrs of disappointment, the day has finally come. I so can't believe it is here. I never thought I would hear those 3 little words or that those 3 little words could mean so much. The doctor told me "You are pregnant!". How freaking exciting is that? It is still very surreal to me. I almost can't believe it. Me and my hubby have wanted this for long, and it is finally here. YEAH!!!! My first ultrasound is on Feb 27th. I am so excited. Any advice for a brand new mommy??
